  • Health Reimbursement: Health/Medical Care Stipend (Up to 50% reimbursement of your health insurance)

  • Time Off: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays
  • Professional Development: Direct leadership mentoring from the Clinical Director, professional growth stipends, and a highly supportive work environment

Position Summary

The Associate Clinical Director (synonymous with Assistant Clinical Director) is designed for an experienced, growth-minded BCBA ready to advance into executive clinical management. In this dual-impact role, you will balance direct clinical care with strategic administration. You will manage a full caseload maintained at a quality-focused standard (up to 12 clients), while simultaneously partnering with the Clinical Director to oversee center strategy, maintain clinical quality, and mentor a team of BCBAs and RBTs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Leadership & Strategy (Stepping Stone to Clinical Director)

  • Partner directly with the Clinical Director on center strategy, workflow optimization, and clinical quality assurance.
  • Assist in managing, mentoring, and supporting the center’s team of BCBAs and pre-certified clinicians.
  • Lead clinical team meetings, case reviews, and cross-discipline collaboration efforts.
  • Serve as an acting leader in the Clinical Director’s absence, building hands-on administrative and operational experience.

2. Clinical Caseload Management

  • Maintain a manageable caseload of up to 12 clients at a time, ensuring quality-driven care over high-volume billing expectations.
  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and standardized skill assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on assessment data.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress through continuous data collection, graph analysis, and treatment plan modifications.

3. Supervision, Caregiver Collaboration & Compliance

  • Provide high-quality clinical supervision and mentorship to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and student analysts.
  • Conduct parent/caregiver training sessions to promote generalization of skills across natural settings.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and external multidisciplinary professionals (OT, SLP, pediatricians).
  • Ensure all clinical documentation, treatment plans, and billing notes adhere to BACB, state, and insurance compliance standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the BACB.
  • Current Arizona Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license (or immediate eligibility to obtain).
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience as a practicing BCBA, preferably in a center-based ABA environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, strong organizational skills, and a desire to advance into a Clinical Director position.
  • Proficiency with data collection platforms, EHR systems, and clinical documentation software.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in a Senior BCBA, Lead Clinician, or supervisory capacity.
  • Experience delivering structured mentorship to junior BCBAs and fieldwork students.
